Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant Survey

January 17, 2024

Hello Great Lakes Community:

In collaboration with the NOAA Great Lakes Marine Debris program, Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant is gathering feedback on a proposed campaign to help prevent plastic pollution in the Great Lakes. This is a campaign to encourage the use of reusables, particularly reusable water bottles. It is intended to target Great Lakes recreationists and those packing supplies for recreational activities on the Great Lakes (e.g., the people packing the coolers or making the snack runs). We are hoping that not only will you take this survey, but that you’ll forward it to your professional contacts, friends, and family. We are really hoping for input from not only folks working on marine debris, but also just regular people who might be interested in spending time on their local Great Lake – this campaign is for everyone!

The survey should only take about 10 minutes to complete and it can be accessed at https://go.illinois.edu/PlasticPollutionSurvey. It will remain open until January 31, 2024.

Please take the survey and be sure to share it! Thank you for your help!
