Take part in this year’s Gathering of the Wise Oldsters program, an online community gathering for Métis persons aged 55+! This online program, delivered via Zoom, will help you, our Métis seniors, connect with community through various cultural and social programs.
The theme for 2024 is Finding our Stories to Honour our Ancestors. The ten bi-weekly gatherings will include sharing stories, crafts, culture, and capturing our stories to share with others. The bi-weekly sessions will be on Sunday afternoons from 1 pm to 3 pm starting January 14th.
These workshops are open to individuals who:
- Self-identify as Métis
- Are 55 years of age or older;
- Have internet access and a device (phone, computer, tablet) with a microphone to participate, as all workshops will be held virtually via Zoom
- Priority registration will be given to those who reside in Toronto and York regions
