Are you interested in exploring the relationship between Métis identity and wellness on September 10, 2024 from 7-8pm?
The Métis Nation of Ontario, in collaboration with the Weaving Wellness Centre, is hosting a 1-hour virtual regional sharing circle for Métis citizens to reflect on personal experiences and share (if they choose to) in a community space.
The event will take place at 7pm on September 10, 2024 on Zoom – and there are only 15 spots available. Please note: if there is a lot of interest, your regional elected leadership will coordinate more regional sharing circles in the future.
If you are interested, please fill out the registration form here: https://forms.gle/dad932w3F1Jcztbq9.
Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, but priority will be given to citizens and elected leadership who indicate they have experienced stress resulting from attacks on Métis identity.
The purpose of the circle is to create a safe space for Métis citizens to gather and reflect on the impact of identity questioning from external groups/organizations/governments and to connect with community, and acquire new coping skills. Emphasis will be placed on strengthening a sense of community, fostering a connection with ancestors, and experiencing a sense of safety as Métis citizens in Ontario.
