With the support of HelpAge Canada, The Toronto & York Region Métis Council is excited to offer our virtual 2024 Book Club, which will be focused on the novel “A Grandmother Begins the Story”. We invite Métis community members 55+ to join us on November 3rd, 2024 from 1-3pm to discuss the national bestseller by award winning Métis author Michelle Porter, which tells the story of a young mother on a quest to find out what her concealed heritage really means through the healing voices of five generations of Métis women.
This program is open to those who:
• self-identify as Métis
• are 55 or over and;
• have internet access and a microphone to participate, as all workshops will be held via Zoom.
Spaces are limited and registration is required. Priority will be given to Métis who reside or attend school in Toronto & York regions.
